A cooler (portable ice chest) is an insulated box used to keep food or drink cool. Marine coolers are specialy designed coolers meant to be used in a marine environment on a boat. They are usually very high quality ice chests made of either one-piece roto-molded polyethylene or Fiberglass. These materials make up the outer shell and are filled with foam. Combining the thick insulation with a quality sealing gasket gives marine coolers superior ice retention. The end product is a durable, well-insulated marine cooler.
