(I'm 5 ft. 7 inches and weigh around 140 pounds so I can only speak for someone my size). For me, it has been as comfortable as any real bed. It is sturdy and not at all creaky.

Not only will he use it camping, but it also serves as an extra bed when kids come home from college. It is also easy to store. I would guess it will be used mostly as an extra bed, rather than a camping cot.
