This is a very nice machete and it has a nice edge right out of the box. I think the price and quality of this machete was money well spent, and should do the job. I am glad I bought this model with the hand guard for wet situations, and the orange handle should make it easy to spot if laying on the ground. Customer service, and communication is TOP NOTCH at our website! I am very pleased.
