Product Description

Russ Kommer custom knifemaker in Anchorage, Alaska designed this knife that is easy to grip and hard to lose. His original concept was a self-defense knife for women that would be lightweight, easy to access and control. But it seems that every parachutist, bush pilot and commercial fisherman also wants one.

It is the perfect emergency cutting tool for anyone who need to cut rope, webbing or netting quickly.

It has a tear drop tip for fast cutting without danger of point penetration, ideal for law enforcement and emergency rescue personnel. Blades are full tang taper ground AUS6M Stainless Steel. Friction grooves are placed on the blade spine, choil and near the tip for maximum blade control safety.

Comes with injection molded Zytel sheath.

This is a quality item at a great price. You can't do better for a simple neck knife then the bear claw. Showed the knife to 4 different people and they ordered one on the spot. The knife is very light, strong and exceptionally sharp. Quality is obvious.

Very good quality product and actually better than what I expected. The sheath is well constructed also. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a bear claw style blade.

  Scott B. from Wilmington, WY

This is an excellent production knife for low-profile belt carry and self-defense use. It is too thick and heavy to be a concealed neck knife, but it can be carried in that mode while hiking or boating. Its forward-curved blade is suited to cutting rope, fishing line, straps, vines, small green limbs, insulation, linoleum, and, in a pinch, even sheet metal. But it really shines as a close-quarters weapon. The finger hole not only ensures that you won't drop it but locks the blade into alignment with your skeleton for exceptionally powerful cutting. Why defend yourself with a forward-curving blade? I'll just say that what it does to vines and fishing line, it will also do to tendons, and an aggressor without functioning hands is not much of a threat. The design of knife and sheath makes for a draw that is one beat slower than necessary, but once it's in the hand, it's formidable.
