David N. from Montrose, CAI like "trick" knives, ones that don't open conventionally. This one is a good version of this, in that you have to read the instructions and then get the hang of it in order to open it quickly and easily. I also like (for some things) knives and tools that are all-metal, as opposed to partly plastic or nylon of some sort. The Van Hoy Snap Lock fits both of these descriptions, and the motion that you use to open (and close) the knife one-handed is easily learned, and very clean and quick. The partially serrated blade makes it a multi-purpose knife which works very well in a number of situations. This is the knife I carry in my pocket with me, and I think the world of it.

George M. from Lake Charles, LAThis is a cool mechanism! It's fun to play with one handed, but a little heavier than the KISS that I have.

Harold B. from New Orleans, LAA great conversation piece. Takes a few minutes to master. Not much of a safety grip. You must keep dirt and junk out of the pivot point. The blade can pivot left or right if it comes unlocked while cutting, that's very weird when it happens. But is not likely to happen if you are careful where you grab it. It only opens and closes from one direction though. Adjust your cutting style and this knife is fully functional, but this blade is all about style.
