This vacuum carafe has a brushed chrome stainless steel exterior, and an inner vaccum insulated double wall glass liner to lock in temperatures. The outer surface of the carafe stays cool to the touch, and is easily cleaned. The lid incorporates a thumb activated lever, for simple one handed pouring. The compression seal on the bottom surface of the lid is a heavy duty siliconized gasket to ensure years of service, with an air-tight seal. Hot 12 hours, cold 24 hours
