Instructions for putting it together would be helpful, but it didn't take me very long to figure it out. It was a little bit of a struggle to set it up but is certainly sturdy and I was never concerned that it would collapse. It made my last camping trip very enjoyable. This 50 something body is much more comfortable not sleeping on the ground.

You need a lot of strength to get the 4 "legs" into the notches on bottom. Definitely not something a kid can do on their own so they are safe cots.
